Mortgage Monday: Rates Are Starting To Climb

Rates Are Starting To Climb

Rates for a 30-year conventional home loan are starting to inch up. Last week at this time rates were at 3.50%. Today the rate is 3.675%. On a loan of $300,000 with 20% down payment, the payment difference would be $21.14 per month. Doesn’t seem like much, does it? But over the course of a year you would pay $253.68 more. Over the life of the loan it would amount to $7,610.40.

Time to get out and find the home of your dreams while rates are still low. I can assist you with your search and purchase. Contact me for more information.
